HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
CIRS Ltd will pursue all claims on your behalf including all contact with your bank until the charges and interest have been recovered in full.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE TO START THE CLAIM?
You will need to obtain a list of the charges you have incurred or statements if you have them. NB: If you are able to provide us with your bank statements we will be able to process your claim a lot faster. If you do not have your statements then we will require a £10 cheque which we will use to request them and pay the bank.

WHAT WILL CIRS DO FOR ME?
CIRS will pursue the claim on your behalf including all contact with your bank / credit card company until an offer you are happy with is achieved. We will:

• Work out the full charges applied to your account over the last 6 years,
• Work out the interest owing on these charges,
• Liaise with your bank to achieve a full recovery of your money,
• If necessary - issue a claim to the County Courts for the recovery of the amount owed to you.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
The entire process usually takes up to around 10 - 12 weeks. This process can sometimes be sped up to around 7 weeks if you have your bank statements.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW MUCH I HAVE BEEN CHARGED OVER THE LAST 6 YEARS?
We will apply to your bank / credit card company and ask for a list of the bank charges that have been applied to your account over the last 6 years. (Subject to your claim being fbetween £500 - £5000) We lodge an official request under the Data Protection Act to your bank / credit card company and they have 40 days to comply under the law. The bank charges £10 to disclose this information.

MY PARTNER AND I HAVE A JOINT ACCOUNT - CAN WE CLAIM?
Yes, but you will both need to sign the documents in order to claim.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?
Our fees are on a No Win - No Fee basis. We charge 10% of the amount recovered (subject to a minimum of £150 ) plus any interest, court or legal fees we recover. In the event that you are not entitled to any refunds, no fee will be charged to you. If your claim is below £150 - nothing will be payable to you. Fees are only payable in the event of a successful claim. You may cancel your instructions for us to act for you within the first 14 days after which point cancellation may incur a fee of £150 to cover any administration costs.

DO I HAVE TO GO TO COURT?
No!

IF I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT SOME TIME AGO - CAN I STILL CLAIM?
Yes, in most cases we can recover charges applied to your account up to the last 6 years, irrespective of whether the account is open of not.
